FAQs
Why San Diego and Torrey Pines?
Aside from the great weather (someone knock on wood), San Diego holds a special place in our hearts. Mr. and Mrs. Hoff live in Del Mar, and any chance we get to visit makes for a 10/10 weekend. San Diego has turned into Max’s second home. We can’t wait to share that magic with all of you. As for Torrey Pines... well, the views speak for themselves. We hope everyone enjoys a relaxing getaway, and maybe even a few holes of golf!
Speaking of Golf, we are in! How do we book tee times?
Guests staying at The Lodge may book tee times directly with the resort after reserving their room. If you’d like assistance, please reach out to Jenna, who can also connect you with the Torrey Pines Golf Director.
If you're not staying at The Lodge but would still like to play Torrey Pines, you may attempt to reserve a tee time online up to 90 days in advance here: https://www.sandiego.gov/torrey-pines.
Additionally, Mrs. Hoff has graciously offered to help secure tee times at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club for guests not staying at The Lodge. Please contact Jenna for help coordinating this option as well.
What accommodations are available for out of town guests?
We understand that many of our guests will be traveling from out of town to join us for our special day. To ensure your comfort, we've arranged room blocks at several nearby hotels. You can find more information on accommodations, including booking codes and special rates, on our website's "Travel" page. Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance or recommendations.
Am I welcome to bring a plus one or my children?
We kindly ask that only those listed by name on your invitation attend. If a plus one or children are included, their names will appear on your invitation. If you’re bringing additional guests for your travels, such as kiddos/childcare, they’re more than welcome to join in on the golf outings and the Welcome Party!
What should we wear this weekend?
Welcome Party: The attire is Dressy Casual and will be outside. Women are encouraged to wear dresses, jumpsuits, or skirt/trouser/blouse combination. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear chinos or dress pants with collared shirts (sport coats are optional). No jeans please.
Wedding Ceremony & Dinner: The attire is Black-Tie Optional. Women are encouraged to wear floor-length dresses (feel free to embrace fun colors and textures). Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a dark colored suit and tie, or tuxedo.
Please note that the welcome party, ceremony, and reception will all take place on terrace grass, so we recommend wearing thicker heels or comfortable shoes to make walking the grounds easier.
